Steven Roth Joins WFI as President of Government Services Division
SAN DIEGO, Dec 7, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks and security systems, announced today that Steven Roth has joined the Company in the role of president of WFI Government Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of WFI. Roth brings extensive, senior-level management experience in implementing network systems for large private and government organizations. Roth will report directly to President and CEO Eric DeMarco, and he will be based out of WFI's Reston, VA office.
In his role as president of WFI Government Services, Inc., Roth's primary responsibilities will include leveraging the Company's engineering and network solutions for the enterprise and wireless telecomm markets to expand the Company's government business. The Company's Government Services division provides technical and engineering services and solutions primarily to the Department of Defense as well as to a range of federal, state and local government agencies. Roth will also oversee the division's operating sectors, which include areas of expertise for technical services outsourcing, logistics automation and RFID, and homeland security/public safety applications.

Mr. Roth brings 25 years of management, sales and strategic business development experience to WFI. Most recently, Roth was senior vice president and general manager of Plateau Systems, an enterprise software systems provider. Roth's career also includes serving as the Vice President/General Manager of 3Com Corporation's Public Sector organization where he was instrumental in growing the business from $5 million to over $400 million in annual sales. Roth was also Vice President of Federal Systems for Octel Communications Corporation, now part of Lucent Technologies. His career also includes sales and business development experience at Sun Microsystems, Inc. and M/A-Com, where he significantly grew annual sales for the federal market.
Roth received a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland. Roth is presently a member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Advisory Board of the University of Maryland's Technology Advancement Program. Roth also serves on the board of directors for AFCEA.
