WFI Showcases Wireless Network Solutions at CTIA Wireless 2005
NEW ORLEANS, March 14, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- San Diego-based WFI (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks, and security systems, announced today that it is showcasing network capabilities from all three of its key vertical market divisions -- wireless network services, enterprise network services and government services -- at CTIA Wireless 2005. WFI will be exhibiting in booth #6431 in Hall G. The Company also announced that it is co-sponsoring the VIP Lounge and showcasing its radio frequency identification (RFID) capabilities in the Lounge by providing RFID-powered VIP passes.
"We are pleased to have a significant presence at CTIA Wireless 2005, especially by sponsoring the VIP Lounge," said Eric DeMarco, CEO and president of WFI. "Our activities at CTIA underscore our industry commitment, overall growth, and demonstrate how we have effectively leveraged our network and engineering capabilities from the wireless industry into other emerging vertical market segments. By having executives from all three divisions present at our booth, CTIA is the perfect opportunity to highlight our company's recent milestones, growing momentum as a value-added engineering and strategic company, and our new corporate branding."
WFI's Wireless Network Services Division, the company's largest division, provides comprehensive network engineering services including planning and consulting, design and optimization, deployment and integration and overall management of wireless networks. The division's customers include the largest wireless carriers and equipment manufacturers in the United States and abroad.
WFI's Enterprise Network Service Division designs, deploys, and integrates voice, data, digital security and other in-building systems for enterprise customers and public facilities such as the national chain of Westfield Shopping Malls and Fortune 100 companies.
The company's Government Services Division focuses on technical resources, logistics and RFID solutions, homeland security and public safety applications, and integrated network services, primarily for the U.S. Department of Defense.
In addition to its exhibit on the show floor, WFI is co-sponsoring the VIP Lounge at CTIA with Accenture. In the lounge, the company will utilize RFID technology that has been embedded on CTIA entrance badges of the show's highest level registration badge, called a SmartPass. To access the lounge, guests will be required to hold their pass against a reader that will automatically identify them as a SmartPass holder and allow them entrance into the VIP Lounge. This RFID technology is the same technology frequently used by customers of WFI's Government Services Division.
