WFI Government Services Awarded $2 Million Subcontract for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Support
SAN DIEGO, May 19, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- WFI (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, information technology networks, and security systems, announced today that it was selected as a member of the Integrits-led team that was recently awarded a contract to provide engineering and IT support for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) San Diego. The $22 million, multiple award contract includes a one-year base period with four one-year options. WFI's subcontract portion is estimated to have a value of approximately $2 million for the five years.
As a subcontractor, WFI will provide a range of services for test and evaluation, independent verification and validation, configuration management, quality assurance, systems support activity support services, and web support. In particular, the Company will focus on process improvement and test bed support by utilizing the Command's Best Practices in installing, maintaining, upgrading, testing and evaluating the C4I equipment and related simulation/stimulation systems in the Command and Intelligence division's laboratories.
