WFI Sponsors Panel at RFID Live! Event in Chicago
SAN DIEGO, April 7, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks and security systems, announced today that the RFID and Logistics sector of its Government Services Division will be sponsoring a panel discussion of industry experts at the RFID Live! conference in Chicago. The RFID Live! Conference takes place from April 10-12 at the Sheraton Hotel in Chicago, with the panel discussion taking place on April 11 in the Riverside Exhibit Hall from 5:45 to 6:15 PM. Admission to the panel discussion is free; however there is a fee to attend the conference. For the event, WFI has organized a panel of industry experts who will focus on RFID topics across various industries, including health care and government. The discussion will cover topics such as standards, integration challenges and innovative solutions. The panel will also explore most attractive business cases for RFID, benefits and market drivers. Upon conclusion of the panel discussion, questions will be fielded from the theater audience.
Participants on the panel include industry experts from ePC Group, Deloitte & Touche, Accenture and WFI. The ePC Group is an advisory group focused on both Global and RFID strategy and the physical layer of RFID across global supply chains such as high tech, perishables, and pharmaceuticals. Pete Abell, Sr. Partner and Co-Founder will represent The ePC Group. Deloitte Consulting will include John Graves, global lead for RFID Technology Integration and renowned RFID expert on RFID modeling and implementation. Accenture's Joseph Tobolski, Associate Partner of Accenture's Technology Labs and Director of the company's Silent Commerce Center, will also participate in the discussion. Mr. Tobolski's role at Accenture is to conduct research, create business applications, and develop prototypes that demonstrate the business application of emerging technologies that enable Silent Commerce. As host of the event, WFI's Phil Mattox will guide the discussion among the panelists. Mattox, a retired U.S. Army veteran, has over thirty years of experience in management, logistics, supply chain and RFID management and operations. Mattox currently serves as Senior Vice President of Business Development for WFI's Logistics and RFID Services Sector within the Company's Government Division.
