Gregory Meacham Joins WFI as Vice President, Business Development, Public Safety
SAN DIEGO, Sept 16, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks and security systems, announced today that Gregory Meacham has joined the Company in the role of vice president of business development for public safety. Mr. Meacham is a senior-level executive with more than 25 years of experience with various aspects of public safety, security, and law enforcement. Most recently he served as the Vice President of Federal Programs and Homeland Security at Nextel Communications. Meacham will be based in WFI's Reston, VA office.
In his role as vice president of business development, Meacham will focus specifically on leveraging WFI's capabilities in radio frequency (RF), Internet protocol (IP) network engineering, Land Mobile Radio (LMR) engineering, and communication network design and deployment to capture opportunities related to the public safety community.

At Nextel, Meacham was responsible for business development and enhancing the delivery of services and products to meet the needs of the federal market and public safety community. In this role, Meacham created an emergency response team to provide rapid deployment capability to support public safety in times of crisis by increasing wireless capacity, providing coverage, and enhancing coordination by implementing a common communications platform. Previously, Meacham was Chief, Technical Programs Section, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). In this position he was responsible for managing technical programs to further the FBI strategic plan through the design, implementation, and management of an integrated digital wireless communications system.
Meacham received a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland. Additionally, Meacham is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Public Accountant. Meacham holds membership in various industry organizations, including the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and he was a member of the Executive Committee, Public Safety Wireless Network Program.
