WFI Awarded $15 Million Contract From National Wireless Carrier
SAN DIEGO, Jan 18, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks and security systems, announced today that it has been awarded a contract for approximately $15 million from a major national wireless carrier to enhance their wireless network throughout the upstate New York area. The work, awarded in phases, will commence immediately and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2005.
According to the terms of the agreement, WFI will perform turnkey site modifications in preparation for 3G services throughout the client's upstate New York market. Further terms were not disclosed.
