SAN DIEGO, July 2, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc.(Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that Richard Poirier has been promoted to President of its newly formed Electronic Products Division. In this position, Mr. Poirier will report directly to Eric DeMarco, Kratos' President and CEO. The promotion supports Kratos' enhanced focus on strategic priority areas, including electronic warfare, electronic attack, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and tactical and
strategic missile systems. Major programs Kratos' Electronic Products Division is currently supporting include the EA-18G Growler, P8a-Poseidon, BAMS, AEGIS, Rivet Joint, Iron Dome, Arrow, David's Sling, Patriot, AMRRAM and Trident.
Mr. Poirier joined Kratos in 2011 following the acquisition of Herley Industries, Inc. Prior to the acquisition, he was the President and CEO of Herley and following the transaction has been in the role of President of a key business unit within Kratos. Mr. Poirier has 25 years in the electronic warfare, electronic attack and ISR sectors.
