Tropos Networks and WFI Ink Systems Integration Agreement to Deliver Metro-Scale Wi-Fi Mesh Solutions Worldwide
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb 17, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Tropos Networks, the proven leader in delivering ubiquitous, metro-scale, Wi-Fi mesh network systems, and WFI (Nasdaq:WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks, and security systems, today announced an agreement for WFI to become a worldwide systems integrator of Tropos Networks' metro-scale Wi-Fi mesh network products and services. Under the terms of the agreement, WFI will provide the network systems integration for the full suite of Tropos MetroMesh(TM) products and services to municipalities, government and public safety agencies, and service providers worldwide. Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
WFI views Wi-Fi mesh networking services as a major new market opportunity. This agreement expands Tropos Networks' customer reach worldwide by bringing to its customers and prospects WFI's carrier expertise and total network design and service solutions.
