WFI Government Services, Inc. Awarded U.S. Army Contract Valued at Approximately $25 Million
SAN DIEGO, Sept 21, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks and security systems, announced today that it has been awarded a contract for aerial target related services from the U.S. Army with an approximate value of $25 million over five years, assuming all option periods are exercised. Under the terms of the contract, WFI will provide a full range of operation and maintenance services for a variety of aerial target systems, including ancillary devices, scoring systems, and command control and tracking systems.
WFI will also provide aerial target flight operations to support air defense training, tri-service test and evaluation, and foreign military sales requirements. These aerial targets will be operated primarily at the White Sands Missile Range and the Fort Bliss McGregor Ranges in New Mexico. As part of the contract, WFI will also deploy personnel, targets, and related equipment to perform flight services at unspecified locations throughout the U.S. and worldwide.
