Wireless Facilities, Inc. Awarded Contract From Major National Wireless Carrier
SAN DIEGO, Jan 14, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks and security systems, announced today that it has been awarded a contract modification from a major national wireless carrier to enhance the customer's wireless network in the Southern California area. This additional contract brings the total project value from a previously announced value of $10 million to $17 million.
As part of this contract, WFI will perform turnkey site identification, acquisition, and deployment services along with program and project management for multiple sites in the Southern California area. Further terms of the award were not disclosed.
