Wireless Facilities, Inc. Awarded Enterprise Telecommunications Outsourcing Contract With a Fortune 100 Company Expected to Generate Up to $35 MillionSAN DIEGO, April 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) (Nasdaq: WFII) today announced that its Enterprise Network Services division has been awarded a contract to perform telecommunications outsourcing services for a Fortune 100 company. The contract, which is for a three year base period with two additional one year options, is expected to generate up to $35 million over the life of the contract, assuming the exercise of the option years.
Under the terms of the contract, WFI will furnish, install, integrate and maintain the telecommunications infrastructure at the customer's locations in Georgia and Texas. The contract also provides the opportunity for WFI to provide support at additional sites outside these specified areas for additional compensation.
WFI's Enterprise Network Services division designs, deploys, and integrates security and other in-building systems such as voice, video, and data networks for enterprise customers and public facilities such as stadiums, arenas, airports, and shopping malls. This recent wins furthers WFI's strategic goal of continuing to capture multi-site enterprise opportunities with Fortune 1000 corporations.
"This contract represents and important win for our Enterprise Network Services division as it represents a large near term revenue opportunity as well as the opportunity to potentially cross-sell additional in-building technologies such as security systems. We believe the enterprise market represents a significant opportunity for WFI and will continue to focus on building our list of large, reference accounts," said Eric M. DeMarco, President and CEO of WFI.
